From the road
I am now in Washburn, N.D., about to cross to the west side of the Missouri River. I'm afraid I haven't had computer access. I arrived here via Lake Metigoshe, Upham, and Velva. Yesterday, by great luck, I canoed the Missouri River for 26 miles from below Garrison Dam to Washburn with the "unofficial" Lewis and Clark re-enactors led by Churchill Clark. My bike clothes fit in well with their 1806 garb. I'm heading down highway 1806 past Mandan and Fort Yates to Mobridge, S.D. I hope to update this journal in either Bismarck or Mobridge. See departure photo here. Hair is minimal for low maintenance.
